NEXT EVENT
Our upcoming event is the Lake District 50km Ultra Challenge, scheduled for June 7th, 2025. We'll be exploring some of England's most beautiful and iconic landscapes, starting at Kendal Base Camp. Our route will take us north through Longsleddale Valley, across the challenging Garburn Pass with breathtaking views, and continue on to Windermere and Ambleside. We'll then follow the western edge of Lake Windermere, England's longest lake, toward the finish line.
To prepare, we’ll be doing a series of fortnightly training walks over the next five months, gradually increasing our distances. We'll travel to the Lake District on Friday, June 6th, staying for two nights near Lake Windermere. The walk will begin at 7am on Saturday.
If you’d like to join us for this incredible adventure, please get in touch for more details.
We're currently in training for the challenge, so if you'd like to be part of this journey:
LAKE DISTRICT 50KM ULTRA CHALLENGE 7TH JUNE 2025
past EVENTs
In April 2024, a group of 10 of us travelled to Morocco to climb Mount Toubkal. Standing at 4,167 meters above sea level, Mount Toubkal – also known as Jebel Toubkal – is the tallest mountain in Morocco, the Atlas Mountains, North Africa, and the Arab World.
Our adventure began in the village of Imlil, where we were accompanied by a guide, two cooks, and two donkeys to carry our supplies up the mountain. We reached base camp at 3,210 meters, where we spent the night in a 32-person dormitory to help with acclimatization. Our summit attempt started at 4 a.m. with headlamps, and by 8:30 a.m., we reached the top. Despite the stunning views, the temperature was a chilly -15°C with strong winds, so we didn’t stay too long.
After completing this rewarding challenge, we unwound with a relaxing few days at the beautiful Les Deux Tours hotel in Marrakech, lounging by the pool and sipping wine as we recovered.
MOUNT TOUBKAL
100KM COTSWOLD ULTRA CHALLENGE
What an incredible experience this was! A group of us trained together from January to June to prepare for this walk. Every other week, we joined forces for training walks, often with other gym members, which made the sessions even more enjoyable.
We tackled a 100 km loop that started and finished in Cirencester. Along the way, we walked through rolling hills, charming villages, the Cotswold Way, footpaths, and trails, all offering stunning views. To make it even more challenging, it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year! Walking through the night with headlamps was tough, but we pushed through, and the sense of achievement when we finished was overwhelming. We completed the 100 km in 24 hours.
